Lord knows I have neither the time nor the energy to cook on a regular basis. (A lack of ingredients in my pantry doesn’t help either, I suppose.)
But now that the CFDA’s American Fashion Cookbook is available for pre-order, I think I just might be inspired to prepare a fashionable feast.
For fun, I’ve created my dream dinner-party menu. (You’re invited, of course!)
Appetizers:
Derek Lam’s Yellowtail Crudo
Catherine’s Malandrino’s Panier de Crudités
Tory Burch’s Andalusian Gazpacho
Mains:
Grandma Bea’s Pot Roast by Michael Kors
Diane von Furstenberg’s Saturday Night Chicken
Isaac Mizrahi’s Mushroom Truffle Spaghetti
Monique Lhullier’s Paella
Meatloaf by Bill Blass
With a side of:
Psychotic Exploding Chestnut Stuffing by Juicy Couture’s Gela Nash-Taylor
And for dessert:
Chocolate Ganache by Rachel Roy
Cynthia Steffe’s Apple Crisp
Zac Posen’s Great Grandma Jeannie’s Butterscotch Wafers
Aunt Elsie’s Cherry Sour Cream Pie by Betsey Johnson
All I need now an adorable apron!
The American Fashion Cookbook will hit stores in September and is available for pre-order now at assouline.com.
