Tiffany presents Ziegfeld, the Great Gatsby Collection

2013 is the year of Gatsby!  The new Ziegfeld Collection is based on Tiffany & Co. archival jewelry designs from the 1920s, and takes its cue from Tiffany’s The Great Gatsby Collection, inspired by Baz Luhrmann’s film in collaboration with Oscar®-winning costume designer Catherine Martin.  It celebrates the beauty and excess of the roaring twenties.

The Great Gatsby - Warner Bros.

In 1920’s New York , Tiffany & Co. jewelers were a predominant symbol of the high life dreamed of by, fictional character, Jay Gatsby and his social circle. F. Scott Fitzgerald, author of The Great Gatsby, was himself a loyal client of Tiffany & Co. In addition to the jewellery that the characters will wear in the up-coming film, Tiffany is also responsible for creating the sterling silver flatware and other accessories that will decorate the interior of Jay Gatsby’s home. With a relationship this strong, it is no surprise that a modern day Gatsby collection was only fitting.

The whole collection is divine, with standouts like a long string of pearls adorned with a tassel, a cocktail ring with a black onyx encircled in pearls and a long pendant necklace with a black onyx and freshwater pearls with a daisy motif. There is even men’s accessories such as black enamel cufflinks and a signet ring with black onyx daisy motif. Everything about this collection exudes the exuberance of the Roaring Twenties!

The Ziegfeld collection is available online and in Tiffany & Co stores. With prices starting at $385, there’s no need to resist the urge to have your own Carey Mulligan Gatsby moment!
