After last spring’s affair with colour blocking, fabric blocking seems to be the runways’ newfound crush for fall 2011.

Our first peek at fabric blocking was at Alexander Wang, where a golden knit cape coat that majestically turned to silk floated down the runway. The mohair shawl created a warm, cocooning effect on the otherwise light and flowing ensemble. Now this is what we call being all bundled up!
