Road tested: eye primers

Don’t let the midday slump turn into an afternoon beauty slip. If your classic cat eyeliner evolves into a depressed raccoon mask by 2 p.m., it’s time to invest in a reliable eye primer. Like a base coat to nail polish, this powerful product helps hold and set your shadow. You might need a double espresso come 4:00 but your gaze will still be going strong. Keep your look tight with one of these LOULOU road-tested and approved primers.

  1. Lancome Aquatique is by far the best eye primer I’ve ever used! Disappointed it wasn’t on the list. It’s an incredible product … it also works great alone for a polished look at work.

  2. I actually compared the Urban Decay one against my Mary Kay primer because it came so highly recommended from the girl at Sephora. Applied one on each eye and by the end of my work day (8 hours or so), the Mary Kay one still lasted longer without creasing.
