I have a serious love affair with the world of beauty – from the runway trends (also spotted on my favourite It girls) to the pros’ tricks, the how-tos and (most of all) the latest products, which I collect almost obsessively. Really, it’s not surprising that my family has nicknamed me “THE beauty gal.”
Every time I wear this perfume, someone inevitably pays me a compliment: “Wow, what’s your perfume?” For the most part, I keep the answer to myself. (Why would I ever want to divulge my olfactory secret?) But I’ll tell you guys! It’s an elixir-like blend of galbanum, orange flowers and incense

This mascara is the best way to get the seductive gaze that false eyelashes yield. It lengthens lashes to infinity, almost to an indecent amount.

This one’s my favourite nail polish at the moment. I went as far as wearing it for a month straight recently! The pastel shade is original, feminine and completely versatile. Did I mention that mint-green nails are spring’s BIGGEST trend?

Blistex, Kiehl’s, Fresh, Crabtree & Evelyn… When it comes to lip balm, you name it, I’ve tried it. One of my current faves is a new launch from Maybelline: It hydrates ’til your next meal, smooths and even protects lips with SPF 20. Bonus: It’s super-affordable. What more could you want?

Like most girls probably have, I’ve been down the road of rinsing my hair with vinegar in the name of ultra-shiny results. Sure, it works. But it also leaves your hair not so pleasantly scented. So, needless to say, I screamed with excitement when I discovered Yves Rocher’s raspberry-vinegar rinse. It brightens and smooths my highlights all the while smelling delicious: yum!

I’ve never been more faithful to any other moisturizer than I have to this one. For a year now, I’ve been applying it day and night, and I’ve noticed my pores visibly reduced, my redness dissipated and my complexion brightened.

Sure, a cat-eye look can’t be beaten, but a metallic cat eye is even better – and more so when it boasts a subtle shimmer that’s almost neon and has a tattoo-like effect.

A bronzing cream for the face and body that yields a subtle summer glow not unlike J.Lo’s on her better days. It’s hands down my go-to for scoring that faux summer tan.

There are so many BB creams coming out now. Which one is the best to purhcase in Canada?
I’ve had a tester of Vichy and like it but it lacks the sunscreen.
I’ve also tried Estee Lauder which has the sunscreen and seems like a good one so far but I’m not sold on it.
Any suggestions? Oh I also live in a small community with limitied access to the best in beauty stores.
Thanks!
Kelly
