How does it feel to be the face of Chloé’s newest fragrance, Fleur de Parfum?
It’s an honour. It’s the second time around, and they wanted me back, so I must have done something right!
What do you love most about the scent?
I love flowers, I love roses and I love peonies.
What are your go-to beauty products?
Skinfood is my favourite for deep hydration. My skin is constantly dry, because I travel all the time. I really like YSL’s mascara, in brown. A makeup artist once told me brown actually makes your eyes pop more than black.
Describe your daily skin-care routine.
I’m pretty simple: I wash my face and put on a serum. I’ll use a vitamin C serum at night and a hydrating one in the morning. Also, eye cream and moisturizer.
What makeup do you wear on a daily basis?
My day-to-day look is just super-hydrated skin, no mascara, and basically some concealer on a pimple that may be on my face.
What’s your hair-care regimen?
I don’t own a blow-dryer, straightener or curling iron.
So your hair is naturally that fabulous?
I had a little help today, but my hair dries wavy. I actually like how my hair dries better without anybody touching it. I shampoo also shampoo maybe once a week and use only conditioner every other day. Sometimes, I use serum if it’s crazy humid.
Who are your style icons?
My aunt Margo, and Katharine Hepburn — she is such a strong woman. Anita Pallenberg and, oddly, men, like Steve McQueen. I like how men can just throw things on. I find that really inspiring.
How would you describe your personal style?
Less is more.
What is your favourite item in your closet right now and why?
I’m not attached to anything, really, but I have a good collection of old Levi’s, so a good mom jean. Oh, also Converse.
What’s currently on your fashion wish list?
I always want cashmere sweaters all the time.
What’s your top must-have this season?
A really good platform boot. Like, a ’70s platform boot. I’m also really into things with star prints on them. For a holiday situation, amp it up.
Where are your favourite places to shop?
I am a huge Etsy fan. I also like Matches in London, and discovering different vintage stores.
Favourite designer labels?
I love Saint Laurent for the simple pieces like a good blouse. I also like their jeans, except they just discontinued my favorite pair. I like Céline, Chloé, Marni for its different quirks and Gucci.
Any guilty pleasures?
Shopping. It’s so good. I buy a lot of shoes. Mostly Vans.
Favourite way to unwind?
I like movies and a hot bath. Cooking is also a really good way to unwind.
What are your favorite things to cook?
I make a lot of stews. I also make really good soups, and a really good salmon as well.
Favourite travel destinations?
I love Mexico. I could live off guacamole forever and ever. I like surfing, so anywhere with a beach. I also love Paris, and small towns in Spain. Tokyo is one of my other favourite places.
What are five three things that always make you happy?
My sister, random presents any time of year and clean sheets.
Favourite ways to stay fit?
I do Ballet Beautiful online. I’ll even do Skype lessons if I’m travelling. I also hike and surf. I’m not a crazy fitness human being. I like to do things that are fun, but it’s not a strict regime — it’s more about when my body feels like it needs to do something.
